all's well that ends well...

it's a good thing that the CEO and board of directors(and the patron) have decided to step down, to let new leadership take over...

on another note i think we must still thank the former CEO and board of directors for managing NKF, although they made mistakes with the handling of funds and donations, we might just shut 1 eye and dun complain anymore cos come to tink of it, they have done quite a good job to help kidney patients. i tink the minister of health mr khaw boon wan said that NKF was 1 of the best in the world, i guess this should be enough to let them off the hook... they provide quality care for patients... from the tv, newspapers, the kidney patients were all in praise of NKF. maybe i was a bit too harsh in my previous post... the staff there had to answer many calls tfrom the public to cancel the monthly GIRO donation, so it might have been quite a draining and tiring process... if it was me, i would not be able to take it. i salute them.

anyway wats done cant be undone, so no use saying they r bad or wat... life has to carry on, so just concentrate on the future; hope the new board of directors will do a even better job than the previous one; and kidney patients will have a better life too.

God Bless Singapore!!!

hey peeps...

did ya read THE STRAITS TIMES these 2 days?? read abt the NKF CEO sue SPH?? ridiculous rite! he 1 year $600,000 salary... it's a bit too crazy... 1 month $25,000... + bonuses... i dun mind if it's some big CEO who runs a big company... but NKF gets its money from the public!! how can the CEO misuse the funds? gold-plated tap... 8 expensive cars... maintains Mercedes Benz for boss... :p rich like anything lor!! $220 million can last for 20 YEARS, not 3 years... pls give us a break... it's really no fun watching the NKF shows... 2 already these few weeks... wah... so sian... (i never watch for ur information)

now i know why my dad never calls the hotline... he said money is spent on all the advertisements, prize money and blah blah... however 1 time he did (called twice)... and he was so fuming mad after the bill came... it was $50!!! $25 each call... for some people maybe no big deal, but wat was outrageous was that the tv only put one hotline no., which was $25 per call! i feel they shouldn't have done that... for some people like us, we just watched for a little while, then call... should they have put the many hotlines for different amounts of money?? hmph!

keeping charity money is no good!!! not saying that the CEO should not have salary but pls be more reasonable! and i'm also quite disturbed that mrs goh said the $600,000 salary was "peanuts"!! do they know how much it can do to help the kidney patients?? i dun know much about how much the dialysis costs but i do know that $600,000 is A LOT A LOT OF MONEY!!

just now heard the radio, about 2,700 people have called NKF to stop their GIRO monthly pledged donation... somebody also drew graffiti on the wall... he or she wrote LIAR... in english and chinese...

i just feel it's so unfair. i always thot NKF was good. help kidney patients. couldn't understand why dad didn't make donations. now i know why.
