I have a feeling that our blog is dying yet AGAIN. How many lives does our blog have? 9 like a cat?
Inkblobs has 9 lives just like a cat. Heehee. LAME.
I think it's because now we both have our own blogs (well I've had mine for very long already and Jo's just got her's). Oh, that and the fact that the March holidays are just over. And that Term 2 is starting. Another 10 weeks of long, tiring school before a month off. Well, even then, people have to go back to do projects and have CCAs etc. Crap. But I shall not dwell on holidays now because school's only just started again.
School. Our lives revolve around it; it's the unhappy centre. I don't like the way Singaporean children have a much tougher and pressurising curriculum compared to those of other countries just because we are such a small country. And it's not helping that some parents and their kids are so kiasu and kiasi.
It sucks that we have to wake up from 5 onwards and sometimes come home at 8 after school. But this is not the worst scenario yet. I'm quite sure that we won't mind school so much if we didn't have so much homework/ so many school hours. Yet it seems that shortening the hours/starting school later/lessening the homework load is impossible to be done.
Everyone is roped in then. Parents, teachers, well everyone will worry. Parents worry whether their kids get enough sleep (most of the time, no) or whether they will do well in their exams. Teachers worry whether their students will grasp what they are trying to teach and whether they will do well in the exams also.
It's a stressful life for everyone. No wonder we are all growing grey hairs. Ugh.Tessa
